Review on mini makeup haul~
Hello guys~
It's been a while since I last post again and I apologize for that. I've just been going through a lot of family troubles at home and it is bringing me down in everything (school, work, family, etc). Now that finals are over, I can finally sit down and relax. So today, I decided to write a review post on the mini makeup haul!
#1: Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation
Okay, so after trying out this foundation for the past month and a half? I'm kind of iffy with it and i'll tell you why. On the Sephora website, it states that it is "a beautiful, lightweight, moisturizing foundation with a natural, barely there finish" I personally don't think it is moisturizing, but it is definitely light weight so that is something that I like. I like the fact that the applicator on this foundation is a dropper so its really easy to just get the amount of foundation you need without having to waste any. I think the reason why i'm not totally inlove with it is because it is pretty expensive for a Sephora brand in my opinion and over a period of time of wearing the foundation, I feel like it does kind of dry up around the midline of my eyebrows and my forehead. With that being said, it could also be that I'm really stressed right now and the weather keeps changing so my forehead is really breaking out and dry. This product retails for $30.00 CDN without tax. Other than that, this foundation is a pretty good foundation. I probably wouldn't buy it again (actually, if i find a good one then i'll replace this foundation with something else). I would give this foundation a 6.5/10
TL;DR
PROS:
- it is light weight and blends really well into your skin (as if you're not even wearing any foundation)
- foundation is very build-able? (that's a word right?)
- it comes in a variety of colours! (Like over 15 shades or something)
- good applicator
CONS:
- not moisturizing
- kind of drying and flaky, actually.
- not the right price for it (in my opinion)
#2: Best Bite Rewind
Okay, these are AMAZINGGGGG. I cannot stress how good these lipsticks are. Sephora says that these lipsticks are very hydrating, matte, highly pigmented, and it is made with natural ingredients.
I think the main thing that I like about these lipsticks is that they are made with natural ingredients. When I apply it on my lips, you can actually feel the naturalness of the lipsticks (if that makes any sense LOL). This is my first bite lip products I have ever purchased and I have heard from others that they are worth buying, and they are! I don't think I have any reason to not like them, but if I had to pick one I would say that it is not really matte; it is more sheer. I really love the colours in this package. All the colours are able to suit everyone except the nude one, which is called Cafe. That is shade is a very nude shade and might not be suitable for everyone. My favourite colour is Aubergine and I think that is a colour that suits everyone. As mentioned, this retails for $32.50 CDN (tax included). Other than that, I would recommend 110% the best bite rewind or any bite lip products.
TL;DR
PROS:
- very pigmented
- smells really good
- made with natural ingredients and it is gluten free
- hydrating
CONS (if i need to have one):
- it is not really matte, more sheer.

#3: NYX HD Concealer Wand
This concealer is probably one of my favourites. I've used this twice and I just keep coming back to it. Other beauty gurus have said that this is a dupe for the NARS Creamy Concealer, but I have not tried the NARS yet and so I can't compare the two. But I can say that this concealer does have full coverage. I love the applicator of it, it is a wand so its like you're not wasting any of the product you just apply the amount that you need. I believe it comes in like 6-7 shades? (correct me if I am wrong though) I just love this concealer. As I mentioned before, this concealer retails for $7.99 CDN without tax at the Funk and Frost store in GTC. I would definitely recommend this concealer for any newbies out there, because this isn't an expensive concealer to try out. I would rate this product 9/10.
Okay guys! So that is it for the mini makeup haul review. I hope you guys like these reviews because I try to put my honest opinions into these kind of stuff. I will be posting more next week and the week after, I promise. Anyways, goodnight my loves~
