Review on Ellwood White Perfume
As my first beauty post of 2019, I would like to review on Abercrombie & Fitch's Ellwood White Bergamot Perfume.
Before I start, I would just like to point out that I am not a perfume type of person mostly because I do not like strong scents but when I discovered Ellwood I was in love.

Before I start, I would just like to point out that I am not a perfume type of person mostly because I do not like strong scents but when I discovered Ellwood I was in love.
I lived by this perfume and believe me when I say I lived by it. I would use it every day every other day just because of how well the scent stays on my clothes. I would only need to use one-two sprays and it would last be a couple days.
Now, this is a pretty "new" perfume as it just came out roughly two years ago? I discovered it in their store and I was just in-love. The scent is so nice and floral and soft which does not create an overwhelming of "oh did I put on too much where people around me will avoid me". It is a scent that is manageable and is not as irritating as other perfumes. It is not a heavy perfume.
I bought my first bottle when it first came out back in July 2017 and I remember I was so happy to find a perfume that I am able to use every day and not want to feel like I need to vomit or have a headache every time I put it on. The bottle lasted me a long time too. I decided to go back and purchase one for my mom as a Christmas gift (maybe December 2018; bottle #2) and she was obsessed with this perfume as well. We decided to purchase more to stock up but they did not have any in stock until May 2019. I bought two new bottles (#3 and #4) in May-June 2019, gave one as a present and kept the other.
After a period of time, the scent from the perfume started to fade (which was weird because that has never happened before at least with the first bottle). I thought it was me not spraying enough so I kept spraying more of the perfume on myself, but the scent wouldn't last. I would spray it on myself at 8:00am and the scent would fade within an hour or so. I tried my mom's bottle and exactly the same thing and she has been using that bottle since December.
I went back to Abercrombie & Fitch and explained to them my situation and they exchanged for two new ones (which I am thankful for as I didn't have my original receipt) for me to come home and have no scent whatsoever in both BRAND NEW BOTTLES that have not yet been opened. I am not sure if it is a manufacturer issue or Abercrombie & Fitch is trying to scam their consumers in purchasing this perfume and have it become very dilute. It smelled like very dilute floral perfume/alcohol. I was so disappointed it literally felt like I bought an expensive bottle of water with a light floral scent. I ended up returning both of it.
Would I recommend this product? No. Maybe this post was written a year ago then yes, but otherwise, I suggest spending money on another perfume that doesn't smell like diluted floral water and alcohol.
Much love,
Jenny
