Hair Care Routine~
Hello guys~
Before I start this week's blog, I just want to thank people who have viewed my blog and read it! Doing this kind of stuff makes me really happy because i'm sharing what I know (which isn't probably a lot) and learning from others as well. This week I am going to be talking about my daily hair care routine and for those who don't know me, I recently dyed my hair in like an ashy-ombre colour? I'll post a picture below of how my hair looked right after the salon.

It looks nice right? Yeah well after I came back from my trip to Vietnam is was so dead, dry, and so damaged. I think what made it worse was that the weather in Vietnam is really bad (humidity and hotness burns the hair) and the water that is used (it isn't water like in Vancouver). When I got back from my trip though I had a hard time trying to fix my hair (it was tangled every day every second, never soft, and always so drying that my hair kept falling apart) because of how bad it got. So I am going to show you guys how to control your hair in a more healthier condition if any of you guys are experiencing problems like me.
Tip #1: Never wash your hair everyday
I used to do that for like 3-4 years? I loved washing my hair because I liked how it smelled and how soft and refreshing it felt. Keep in mind though that back then my hair was all natural so I think doing that wouldn't cause any trouble for my hair. For bleached hair though, it dries out the hair even more. (Also, another tip... WASH YOUR HAIR IN COLD WATER. I didn't know that until recently, hot water dries it out as well). Now, I would wash my hair every other day (maybe even 2-3 days) to let its' natural oil come out to nourish our hair follicles. *TIP* brush your hair before you start washing it so that you don't get any tangles or anything.
Q: What do I do when I wash my hair?
Well, I introduced some products on my last post but basically I wash my hair with ...
#1. COLD WATER
I would shampoo like normally (I would highly recommend you guys do your research in what type of chemicals you guys should avoid when it comes to shampoo because some of the chemicals can harm your hair even more). I use the brand "Matrix Biolace"and that is because sometimes I get dandruff in my hair (it isn't bad, its basically saying that your hair is kind of dry so dead skin is coming off).
#2. CONDITION HAIR
After shampooing I would use my Moroccan Oil Hydrating Conditioner to hydrate my dry hair and I ONLY apply it to the parts that needs hydrating and if I have excess then I just use it on the top of my head but mostly they are used towards the middle to the ends of my hair. I leave that in for one-two minutes and then I would rinse it off.
#3. DRY HAIR
After I'm done air drying my hair for a bit, I put two products in my hair: 1. Hask Argan Oil (which adds shine into your hair) and 2. Milk Shake Leave In Conditioner (softens the hair) and let it air dry. For the oil, I use about a toonie coin size amount for my whole entire hair but the shorter your hair, the less product you have to use. For the leave in conditioner, I just spray it all around the area of my hair that needs it the most.
annnnd yeah thats my hair routine. Like I said I wash my hair ever 2-3 days just to keep the natural oil in my hair and let me hair absorb it. Every week though, I do have a day where I deep condition my hair (basically giving myself a spa day for my hair and its usually either a tuesday or a thursday).
#4. DEEP CONDITION
Basically, I shampoo my hair and then afterwards instead of conditioning it, I apply these two products that I have been alternating. The first one is Nature Republic Argan Essential: Deep Care Hair Pack and the second is Hask Argan Oil Deep Conditioner. Basically I apply one of these two products onto my hair (and I usually use half of a handful of it and apply it towards the middle-ends of my hair). *TIP* brush your hair thoroughly to let the product even out the hair. I leave it on for about 10 mins but the longer you leave it in, the better and softer it is! After that, I rinse and condition my hair again with the hydrating conditioner and continue with the routine.
And yeah, that is basically how I treat my hair after colouring it ashy-ombre. I hope this helps! This is my first time laying out how I do something. THANK YOU FOR READING MY BLOG!~ Goodnight my fellow readers!
